What is a Broward Community ID Card?
- On 2020, Broward County passed a resolution authorizing the issue of community IDs to Broward residents (the implementation of this card in Broward was given to Legal Aid Service of Broward County.)
- The Broward Community ID is a document that helps residents of Broward to identify themselves to law enforcement, schools, banks, health centers, city departments, and social service agencies, or participate in the cultural and business life of the county when an ID is required.
- The Community card is not a federal or state ID nor a driver’s license, it cannot be used to vote or board an airplane, and does not entitle cardholders to any social welfare benefits.
