Summer Shade Camp
Branches’ Summer Shade is filled with friends, faith, fun learning, and field trips!
Branches’ Summer Shade provides an amazing camp experience to our elementary, middle, and high school students and serves over 400 children and youth during the summer. The day camp takes place at all three Branches Grow & Climb sites: Branches Lakeview, Branches South Miami, and Branches Florida City.
Summer Shade focuses on creative learning in order to help prevent summer learning loss, often associated with the long summer break. Children will continue to read and learn during the summer so they may be ready to attend the next grade level in the Fall. Many parents are unable to provide such academic support over the summer since they have to continue working, or simply do not have the language skills or education to guide their children.
Summer Shade also offers enriching activities sports, exciting field trips and much more!

Hiring Our Youth!
Branches also hires 40-45 Summer Shade Guides each summer, who are Branches program youth hired as camp counselors to help with the programming and to manage all camp activities. This summer employment allows our youth to learn useful skills such as time management, organizational skills, teamwork dynamics, earn some money and much more.
