Jeyvin
Jeyvin has been an integral part of the Branches program since he was in kindergarten. Over the years, Branches staff has had the privilege of working closely with Jeyvin, assisting him with homework, teaching valuable skills, and organizing various activities. His dedication and growth throughout his time with us have been remarkable.
He has been a Branches Summer Shade Camp Guide for 4-5 years, following the examples set by Branches young adult leaders like Naldo, Caleb, and Pedro, who were Branches students themselves. Initially, Jeyvin used to complain frequently, but he has since grown to see the world through a different lens and take proactive steps in any situation or problem he faces. An example of his initiative is when he noticed students arguing and getting injured during free-time soccer games. Jeyvin stepped up to become the referee, ensuring the games were fair and safe for everyone involved. This action demonstrates his growth and willingness to take responsibility.
Jeyvin’s intentionality and kindness have earned him the respect and admiration of the Branches family. His compassion and fairness in his relationships with students and peers have made a lasting impression on the children and families we serve at Branches Florida City. His heart and charisma have touched many lives, leaving a positive and enduring impact.
As Jeyvin graduates from high school, incredible opportunities lie ahead. His commitment and investment in our community have been invaluable, and we are confident he will continue to create positive change as he embarks on his new journey. This fall, Jeyvin has applied to become an AmeriCorps member, further demonstrating his dedication to service.
In addition to his academic success and extracurricular activities, Jeyvin’s involvement in soccer and Branches highlights his well-roundedness and dedication. He truly is a superstar, and we are proud to see him continue his education at Miami Dade College, Homestead Campus, where he will study Health Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine.
