Geraldo
Geraldo and his two younger brothers grew up at Branches. Their family, who moved to Miami from Haiti, was thrilled to learn about Branches’ programs and immediately enrolled their sons. Geraldo, the eldest of the three boys, took advantage of every opportunity Branches presented him with. From participating in after school tutoring, to adventuring with his peers at Oasis Spring Break Camp, to mentoring younger students as a Summer Shade Guide, and leading his very own mission trip, Geraldo learned much and grew personally from each experience.
The first in his family to attend college, Branches became the bridge, for Geraldo and his brothers, to incredible opportunities. Geraldo’s experience with Branches helped him gain a better focus for his career path and instilled in him the value of education. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Higher Education at Louisiana State University and looks forward to giving back to students like him.
