Branches’ Statement on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Branches’ commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) flows from our belief that each person has sacred value and inherent self-worth, that barriers do exist in society that prevent people from experiencing social and economic mobility, and that transformation calls for both connecting authentically at the grassroots while also challenging systemic barriers and ourselves to uphold DEI through the many facets of our work and mission. We affirm the value of DEI work and together are building up an equity culture within Branches.

The overarching goal is to uphold mutual accountability and empowerment (both for staff and participants) to consistently create equitable and transformational opportunities. Branches’ culture and social impact have been built over the past two decades upon the practice of empowering team members and program participants to fulfill their potential. Branches creates opportunities for children, youth, families and whole communities in the areas of financial wellness and educational success that will lead to equity. We track progress through data to ensure that impact is being made year over year.
