National Service Day
January 19th, 2026

In partnership with AmeriCorps, Branches will honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 19th, 2026, through a day of community service at all three of our sites: Branches Florida City, Branches South Miami, and Branches Lakeview in North Miami. We look forward to serving our community with you! 

Branches Florida City will celebrate its 16th Annual “Florida City, Love Yourself” MLK Day by beautifying the Branches Florida City site and Homestead Middle School. Through hands-on volunteer projects: including cleaning the grounds, painting, building new planters, and more, the Florida City team will honor Dr. King’s legacy by creating brighter, more welcoming spaces for students and the surrounding community.

Branches South Miami will celebrate MLK Day by partnering with the City of South Miami to host the city’s annual MLK Freedom Breakfast. Through service and community engagement, the South Miami team will serve breakfast to residents and guests, while students will honor Dr. King’s legacy through a special musical performance.

Branches Lakeview will celebrate its 8th Annual “United We Stand” MLK Day of Service by beautifying Branches Lakeview and Branches Elementary. Volunteers will support hands-on projects including cleaning, painting, beautifying the grounds at Branches Lakeview, and painting and building flower beds at Branches Elementary, helping create brighter, more welcoming spaces for students and the surrounding community.
