National Service Day
January 20th, 2025

In partnership with AmeriCorps, Branches honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 20th, 2025, through a day of community service at all three of our sites: Branches Florida City, Branches South Miami, and Branches Lakeview in North Miami. We were grateful to serve our community with you!

Branches Florida City celebrated its 15th Annual “Florida City, Love Yourself” MLK Day by serving the Florida City community with various projects such as painting, minor repair work, beautification projects, and cleaning within the community and at local schools and community spaces, including Homestead Middle School and Florida City Elementary. hank you to our incredible team that came down from Mandarin United Methodist Church that served all weekend and on this day!

Branches South Miami had the opportunity to serve and assist the City of South Miami at their annual “MLK Freedom Breakfast.” The South Miami team had the honor of serving the guests at the event, and Branches students sang two songs in celebration of MLK Day.

Branches Lakeview in North Miami celebrated its 7th Annual “United We Stand” MLK Day of Service by giving back through beautifying Lakeview Elementary. The team also did landscaping work around Branches Lakeview’s grounds and organized and cleaned the classrooms. Thank you to, University of Miami’s AEPi, ADP Ebenezer United Methodist Church and Ryder System, Inc. for volunteering! And a special shout out to SouthState Bank for keeping our volunteers hydrated and donating water.
