Thanksgiving Meal Delivery Program

2016tgWhen Branches began its Thanksgiving Meal Delivery program in 2001, Branches and a few dozen volunteers delivered over 600 meals.

In 2016, more than 1,000 volunteers came together at eight sites to cook, package and deliver 5,185 meals to individuals and families in need. Most importantly, each delivery included a large tri-lingual pamphlet which included information about available programs at Branches and other free community resources.

Thank you to all our wonderful partners for making this year’s Thanksgiving another huge success!

THANK YOU to our premiere partner,

Branches has been proudly serving the South Florida community on Thanksgiving Day since 2001. Our staff partners with dozens of agencies that help identify clients who would otherwise be hungry and alone on what otherwise is a very special holiday.  Congregations, community groups, businesses and individual volunteers help us collect food and prepare the meals. We also deliver these hot meals to families’ homes along with large trilingual info pamphlets about how they can access Branches services and other programs to help them become more financially stable. The goal is to provide hope and opportunities for everyone involved; volunteers and recipients alike.
