On September 20, 2016, employees from all over South Florida came together to celebrate their annual Aramark Building Community Day (ABC Day) and gathered together in South Dade to beautify the Trish and Dan Bell Family Branches Center – Florida City Campus.
ABC Day is Aramark’s global day of service. In communities around the world, thousands of employees worldwide inspired families to lead healthier lives and empowered youth and adults to obtain valuable job skills. This day’s effort is an extension of Aramark Building Community, a year-round global volunteer and philanthropic program. Since 2008, Aramark has invested more than $9 million in volunteer expertise, financial and in-kind resources to strengthen communities. More than 30,000 employees have dedicated their skills and expertise to enrich and nourish lives through hundreds of volunteer projects impacting over four million people.
In Florida City, the Aramark team worked incredibly hard to complete several much needed projects. They came together for an early morning breakfast and a kick-off meeting before getting to work. Projects completed included landscaping and trimming of trees, painting a large multi-purpose room and gaga ball pit and preparing hygiene kits for Branches youth.
A huge THANK YOU goes out to Aramark for their generous support to fund this volunteer day and provide their amazing volunteers to help Branches further its mission and keep our new building looking beautiful for the children and families we serve.
